Summer

Chalet Les Sapins is set into the hillside on an alpine pasture at the edge of Morzine. A footpath (Balcon de Pleney) just above the chalet leads to high pastures and mountain trails. During July and August, the Pléney télécabine ski lift 800m away from the chalet offers walkers and mountain bikers a quick and more comfortable access to the higher paths. Other lifts in Morzine and the region are also open at this time.
Below the chalet is the Summer Route from Morzine to the old market town of Samoëns via the Col de Joux-Plane – a mountain pass commanding spectacular views over the Giffre valley. This road is used as a mountain stage of the Tour de France and Dauphine Libere cycle races and is one of the 16 stages of the annual Rallye Mont-Blanc event of the French Rally Championships.
